This Privacy Policy explains how Nakshatra Events (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares the personal data of visitors to this website and clients we work with. We comply with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023(“DPDPA”) and other applicable laws in the jurisdictions we operate in (India and Singapore).
Data we collect
From the website:
- Contact form submissions — name, phone, email (optional), event type, and the message you write.
- WhatsApp click-throughs — when you tap the WhatsApp button, your phone number is shared with WhatsApp/Meta as per their terms.
- Analytics — anonymised page views, referrer, device type, and approximate region. We use Vercel Analytics and (when enabled) Microsoft Clarity. Neither sets advertising cookies.
From engaged clients we may additionally collect: contact details for the planning team, billing/GST information, guest counts and special requirements relevant to the event brief.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and propose a scope.
- To plan, deliver and document the event you have engaged us for.
- To improve the website (aggregate analytics, never individual profiling).
- To send occasional studio updates, only if you opt in.
Lawful basis
Under the DPDPA, our lawful bases are: consent (for marketing communications), legitimate use (for responding to enquiries you have initiated), and contract performance (for delivering events for engaged clients).
Sharing
We share personal data only with:
- Vendors required to deliver your event (caterers, photographers, venues, transport partners) — under non-disclosure terms.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers (Vercel, Resend if configured, Microsoft Clarity if enabled) — strictly for technical operations.
- Statutory authorities, when legally required.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising profiling.
Retention
- Contact form submissions: 24 months from receipt, unless you become a client.
- Engaged-client records: 7 years from the final event date (financial-records retention).
- Analytics: aggregate, retained per provider defaults.
Your rights
Under the DPDPA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Withdraw consent and ask for erasure (subject to retention obligations above).
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of incapacity.
- Lodge a grievance with our Grievance Officer (below).
To exercise any of these, write to hellonakshatraevents@gmail.com.
Grievance Officer
Per the DPDPA, our Grievance Officer for data-protection matters is the Founder & CEO, Harish Ravva. Please mark emails “DPDPA grievance” and email hellonakshatraevents@gmail.com. We will respond within thirty days.
International transfers
Our hosting (Vercel) may store data in regions outside India. Where this applies, the transfer happens under standard contractual clauses with equivalent protection.
Cookies
This site uses no advertising cookies. Strictly necessary cookies and first-party analytics may be set. We will display a cookie notice if third-party trackers are introduced.
Updates
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
